Waitlist

Fields fill.
but plans change.

Every GIR Club tournament runs a capped field. That means they sell out — but spots open up when plans change. Joining the waitlist costs nothing and commits you to nothing, but can gain you access to a sold-out event.

First

You join

Tell us which tournaments you want to play in. You're added to the list in the order you joined.

Then

A place opens

Plans change and balances go unpaid. Places come free in almost every field.

Then

We offer it to you

By email and text, in list order, held for you for the window stated in that message.

Finally

You take it or pass

Register and pay your deposit to confirm. Pass, and it moves to the next person on the list.

Get me on the waitlist!

Share your information with me so I can offer you a spot when one opens.

No payment now, and no obligation if a place comes up. We'll only email you about the tournament you requested.

Worth knowing

  • The list is honoured in order

We work down it by the date you joined.

  • Offers have a clock on them

When a place opens we hold it for you for the window stated in the email. After that it passes to the next person.

  • Flexibility moves you up

If you can travel at short notice, your chances are better at getting a spot that others turn down.

  • Passport holders have an advantage

Passport holders have access to a registration window before a tournament is announced publicly, which usually beats the waitlist entirely. How the Passport works.

  • You can leave any time

Tell us and you're off the list. There's nothing to cancel and nothing to pay.
