Club Champions

Two names.
One season.
Forever on
the board.

One pair finishes every season at the top of the Order of Merit. They are the Club Champions, and their names stay on this page for as long as there is a GIR Club.

How it
is won

No separate competition, no qualifying. The title goes to whoever plays the most and plays the best across a whole season.

Through the year

Points at every tournament

25 for completing one, up to 100 more for how your team finishes, and 10 for each contest won. The full scale.

At the season's end

Top of the table

The pair with the most points when the last card is signed takes the title. Ties go to the best single finish, then to tournaments played.

And then

Onto the board

Names, season and winning total, published here permanently. The table resets in January; the board never does.

What the
title carries

[Describe what the Club Champions receive — the trophy, what they take home, and where and when it is presented. This is the prize at the end of a whole season, so make it sound like one.]

[If there is anything for second and third, or for the most tournaments played in a season, say so here too.]
